The Wizard, the Witch, and the Wild One Animated Trailer
Worlds Beyond Number is a Dungeons & Dragons tabletop RPG actual-play podcast created by Taylor Moore, Brennan Lee Mulligan, Aabriya Iyengar, Erika Iishi, and Lou Wilson. I directed the animation of the trailer, and designed the characters, animated 2D shots, and composited the final product.
Upon booking the project, I first designed the style and movement of the animation, referencing a Western-anime style similar to shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Vox Machina. I then scouted and hired Jack Anderson, Arthur Neves, and Li Cree based on their love for acion RPGs, anime-styled art, and robust portfolios. Over the next two months, I spearheaded not only most of the animation and video edit, but also the budget and production tracking to ensure that the project and work-in-progress milestones would be delivered on time. What resulted was a trailer that garnered 30,000+ YouTube views, and the complete satisfaction of the client, in which The Worlds Beyond Number's production team stated in a direct quote, "you've delivered something of such high quality in a tight turnaround that a few studios just straight up said was impossible."
