In Stars and Time is a critically-acclaimed indie RPG video game made by Adrienne Bazir (insertdisc5) and published by Armor Games Studios, released in November 2023.

I was tasked with creating cel, hand-drawn animation for the release trailer of In Stars and Time to represent the relationship and dynamics of the games' characters. Through 10 different animated shots, I wanted to represent not only the goofy, slapstick vibe of the game, but also the dramatic and tragic undercurrent of the game as well. I handled storyboarding each shot according to Adrienne's direction, and then I matched their style for the animation and gave it a rough-pixel feel in After Effects. The end result was a trailer that garnered 70,000+ YouTube views, and a release score of Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam.
